Founder & Principal of Flex Philanthropy

With over three decades of experience in the fundraising sector—and a background that spans major gifts and some of Canada’s biggest campaigns, strategy, communications, team building, board building/development/ training, coaching and wellness— Robin brings a whole-person, whole-organization perspective to her consulting practice.

Robin has led major campaigns, coached fundraisers and Board members, transitioned CEOs, created strategies with organizational staff leaders and volunteers, and helped organizations of all sizes strengthen their culture, capacity, and fundraising results.

Robin’s experience as a successful fundraising leader, strategist, and community builder began at McGill, where she worked in annual, major gifts and donor relations programs, as a part of Canada’s largest (at the time) fundraising campaign, the $200 million McGill Twenty-First Century Fund. Her next experiences fundraising on behalf of Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation, Havergal College, and St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation further deepened her commitment to the charitable sector’s impacts. As Senior Consultant and Principal with the Offord Group for almost 15 years, Robin’s work with clients across Canada in education, healthcare, social services, arts and culture, and environment, coupled with her significant fundraising experience, have provided her with a panoramic understanding of Canada’s philanthropic sector.

Robin’s commitment to community is reflected in her many years of volunteer service. She has served on the Boards of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Bereaved Families of Ontario (Toronto), is a former Chair of McGill’s Women, Leadership & Philanthropy Toronto Initiative, and has been an active participant in the Terry Fox Run since it began. She is currently a Board Member for Suomi-Koti Finnish Seniors Home, a Regional Director with the McGill Alumni Association, and a McGill Planned Giving Ambassador.
